And how many made it on air? By my best estimate, 7. What the hell? Now, I get that you can’t televise 110 awards. It would be downright dull. But there were some major categories left out; almost everything having to do with rock and pop got cut, and R&B only fared slightly better. And if you happen to like jazz, or (dare I say it) classical? Out of luck, my friend. So, with only 6% of the awards making it to the air in a 3.5 hour broadcast, what did we get instead? A little bit of good, a whole lot of mediocre, and an suprising amount of downright ugly. Some of the highlights and lowlights after the jump.
