I know this is normally Pat’s thing, but Comix is going to be having a “Friends of the Daily Show” night on May 12 that’s described as such:

Emmy winning Daily Show Producer Rory Albanese presents Friends, Acquaintances and Colleagues. Join some of the writers, friends and behind the scenes team favorites of The Daily Show!

So it isn’t Daily Show people per se, but it might be a good chance to network and find out what the writers are like. Tickets are $15 in advance, which isn’t bad except that it’s on a Monday night at 8pm. I’ll probably go if anybody else is interested.
